| Comments: | Indian Public Health Association was formally inaugurated on 28th September 1956, by the then Union Minister of Health, Rajkumari Amrit Kaur, with active support from Dr B C Roy, chief minister of West Bengal, Lt Col K C K E Raja, Director General of Health Services, Government of India, Dr B C Dasgupta, Director of Health Services, Govt of WB, the leaders of public health in West Bengal. Since its inception the headquarters of the Association has been situated at the All India Institute of Hygiene & Public Health, 110 Chittaranjan Avenue, Kolkata 73. The Indian Public Health Association is dedicated and committed to the promotion and advancement of public health and allied sciences in India; protection & promotion of health of the people of India, and promotion of coordinated efforts among public health professionals in this country for sustaining the acheivements of the glorious past and working for a better future. | |||
