| Comments: | The Anatomical Society of Southern Africa established in 1967, was born out of the Colloquia of the Anatomy Departments in the “old” Transvaal. Now Society signifies anatomy departments from all tertiary institutions in Southern Africa an d maintains strong relations with Luanda, & Zambia. The annual meetings, website and list server promotes excellence in research and education and become the specialized for biomedical researchers and educators in South Africa focusing on anatomy in its largest sense. In adding to being the primary educators of students in the medical and allied health disciplines, investigation by ASSA members with anatomy, embryology and developmental biology, imaging, cell biology, genetics, movement science and numerous other exciting and developing areas. | |||
