| Comments: | The World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons was founded in 2001 in U.K. by a group of Surgeons and Gynaecologists who felt the need for a strong world-level organization for Minimal Access Surgery. Most of the organization in the world are confined to their own parent country whereas, the main concept behind WALS was to make a global platform under which all the medical professionals involved in laparoscopy should exchange their knowledge and experience.
