Temporomandibular Joint Disorders: Clinico – Anatomical Correlation

The Temporo-Mandibular joint has a complex anatomical architecture. It is the only joint in the body to be involved in psychological disorder. The incidence of myofacial pain dysfunction syndrome. (MPDS) is a very common occurrence in the clinical practice. Anatomical weakness and complexities and internal derangements predispose to MPDS. In this paper, the authors have tried to correlate the clinical signs and symptoms to the anatomical and functional characteristics of Temporo-Mandibular joint.
